An interactive workshop where participants are encouraged to bring their own samples of soil and investigate with the use of microscopes and printed resources the biodiversity of the fauna in their soil. 21 October 2010 10 am – 2 pm Waterwatch Workshop in Water Week. Waterwatch is a national community water quality monitoring program that engages communities in the planning, monitoring and management of natural resources. The program promotes environmental awareness and action by encouraging everyone to play a role in keeping our waterways clean and healthy. Come along to learn how to use the water watch kit and measure pH, water temperature, salinity levels, phosphorus, turbidity and dissolved oxygen levels. Location: St John’s Hall Mullumbimby. Wear: long sleeves, long pants, covered sturdy shoes, and a hat for outdoor activities. Gum boots optional.
