Nature Festival

Friday 4 June 6:00 pm – 9:00pm

Opening night for the Visions of the Valley photo competition and presentation of prizes. The exhibition will then be open to the public all weekend.  Entries due 27 and 28 May at Byron Shire Council Offices, Mullumbimby.   Contact Richard 6684 1734

Saturday 5 June  8:30 am – 3:00 pm

Walks and tours focussing on ecological restoration works, plant identification, river restoration and bird walks. There will also be a basket weaving course and landcare displays in the hall.

 

 

Kelly Gibney

 

Sunday 6 June   9:30 am – 3;30 pm

Six guest speakers will give presentations about the biodiversity of the Brunswick Valley. Talks will cover aspects of biodiversity including soil biodiversity, reptiles and migratory bush birds and threats to biodiversity. There will also be displays and children’s activities. Sunday’s activities will be in, or around, the Mullumbimby Civic Hall.
