Inspiring and supporting our community to conserve and restore Brunswick Valley's natural environment from forest to foreshore |
How you can be involved in BVL Join or start a locality group A locality group is a group of concerned people who meet regularly to weed and plant a specific site or area. Groups form independently, maintain their own identity, and manage their own work sites. BVL is the umbrella group, supporting more than 20 groups in the valley. Be an individual member You can join as an individual BVL member which gives you access to information, funding, and equipment. Membership You can download a copy of our membership application form here:
You can download a copy of our membership renewal form here: Benefits of joining BVL Membership discount New and renewing members receive a voucher from Mullum Creek Native Nursery for one 25% discount on the purchase of local native plants (maximum discount $50). Information Once you join BVL you will receive a bi-monthly newsletter full of practical information and news on workshops and events. There is also a six-monthly news magazine with longer articles about our natural environment. In 2004, 2006 & 2008, we organised Nature Festivals to provide a day of fun and learning. Training We organise monthly training workshops including bushwalks, tree identification and weed management (usually free to members and reciprocating Landcare groups). Project management We can help members develop projects, write applications for project funds, and finalise project reports. Our members have access to technical expertise and equipment to carry out weed control, tree planting, and bush regeneration. Building community We offer people in the Brunswick Valley the opportunity to meet other people interested in conserving and restoring the natural world.
