When shopping for plants or seedlings check if the nursery is 'bushland friendly.'

Nurseries that have made a commitment not to sell, propagate or knowingly distribute environmental weeds are promoted as being 'bushland friendly nurseries'.

Environmental weeds are plants which, through various methods of distribution and proliferation, have become a threat to the survival of native plants and animals. These may include some ornamental plants seen in many suburban gardens, or sold as pot plants.

By shopping at bushland friendly nurseries you can be sure that any plants you take home will not threaten your local environment.
